What is Chiropractic

Chiropractic is based on a field within the health sciences. For many years scientists have been researching human biology and neurology and have proven that the human body is a self-healing, self-regulating organism. Our nervous system, which consists of our brain, spinal cord and interconnecting nerves, controls the many millions of functions that our body performs on a daily basis.

Signals are relayed between our brain and nerves to ensure that our body is functioning correctly. The bones of the spine, called the vertebral bodies, protect the vulnerable pathways of the spinal cord and nerve roots. Impairment of these nerves or misalignments of the vertebral bodies can interfere with the vital nerve exchange relay that exists and cause irritation of the nerves which can lead to malfunction of tissues and organs. This is what chiropractors refer to as a subluxation complex.

Chiropractic restores your innate ability to heal and maintain a healthy body. When your body is functioning correctly it can resist disease, ill health, and pain. Chiropractic locates the interferences within your body and safely and effectively removes them to assist proper communications throughout your body.
